More than 17,000 healthy or treatable animals were killed in shelters at the end year. And while Megalopolis Council members and Angelenos come together to constitute Los Angeles a No-Kill Megalopolis, there are still tens of thousands of animals that are already in shelters and sanctuaries that demand homes immediately. HuffPost LA is launching a monthly series where we will feature community animals that are available for adoption.
