WASHINGTON — It’s fun to dress up in nice clothes and pretend you live in a Fitzgerald novel. The folks that participate in the annual Seersucker Social wear some of the finest threads in a stylish path. This past Saturday’s sold-outside event at the Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens gave some willing and hip D.C.-area residents the chance to bicycle their path into a bygone era. Performances from Dandy Wellington and his band as well as picnicking, croquet and badminton helped transport a collection of twentysomethings to the 1920s.Presented by Dandies and Quaintrelles, the Seersucker Social is becoming a community tradition and photo op.
