Tony Awards ‘Book Of Mormon’ Opener (VIDEO)

The 2012 Tony Awards opened with a blast from the past — 2011 best musical winner and reliable crowd-pleaser “The Textbook of Mormon.” The exhibit started with a collection of Mormon Elders going door to door — calling on Ricky Martin, Matthew Broderick, Cynthia Nixon, James Earl Jones and Judith Blaze — and moving into their introductory song “Hello.”The exhibit’s original stars, Andrew Rannells and Josh Gad, were sadly absent (Gad gave his final performance at the end Wednesday, and Rannells’ was today), however a darker-haired Neil Patrick Harris stepped in to lead the exhibit.Watch the video above.Glance at More…
